About the ceremony
The programme opened with the traditional welcome by the Amruta Kanyas and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, accompanied by Vedapath chanting led by Pt. Rabi Narayan Mishra. Dr. A. K. Naik, Chairman of the Foundation, introduced the dignitaries on the dais.
The top five meritorious students were felicitated in order of merit, followed by the remaining twenty-four students in alphabetical order. Seven selected print and electronic media professionals from Jagatsinghpur were also recognised for their contribution to public discourse.
Addresses by the invited speakers focused on women's empowerment, the value of higher education for girls and the Foundation's roadmap for the years ahead. The ceremony closed with a solemn recitation of Bande Utkal Janani.
